First Gift

I have always had a love for art and craft. But I had never thought of taking my hobby to the next level. I would like to thank my husband who had motivated me to continue my hobby.
This is the first gift he gifted me when we met each other for the first time. I was doing my Masters and staying with roommates. I did not have many art supplies during those days. He gifted me this huge box which I still have.
It contains 10 acrylic paints which I used a lot. It has 6 brushes, but they are not useful for acrylic or oil painting. They can be used with only water colors. The set contains 12 oil paints and 12 water color paints. If you want to use those oil paints, you will have to buy linseed oil or turpentine. I was able to experiment with these 3 media and also mixed media using this kit. The set contains 28 color pencils, 24 oil pastels and 28 water color pencils. All these are good to experiment different media.
My experience with Oil Pastels: They are good to create mixed media art, there are lot of colors in the kit to experiment with.

My experience with Color Pencils: There are lot of colors but I did not find the quality very good. Some pencils need to be pressed really hard.

My experience with Water Colors: Not used them much but they are regular water colors. They are sufficient for just 1 or 2 paintings.
My experience with Oil Paints and Acrylic Paints: Both are beginner level paints. You will need to buy different brushes as the ones provided with the set are not that good for oil or acrylic. For oil painting you will also need to buy linseed oil or turpentine.

My experience other stuff:
This set also has sharpener and eraser. It contains 3 plastic palates, which I did not find useful. I have big pallets and I need more space to mix my colors. It also has basic brushes, which I never used.
I personally love this kit. It is a great starting point for beginners who want to learn what are the pros and cons of different art media and what choice they would like to make.
I paint a lot with acrylics, as water colors do not last much and oil paints create a lot of mess. Also, I do not like the smell of turpentine and linseed oil.
