Since I moved to Michigan, I have been to the Tulip festival in Holland Michigan twice. There flowers really fascinate me with their beauty. I used to see that lot of houses have few tulips planted in their yards and even a single tulip would looked so attractive. I always wanted tulips in my house, but I stayed in an apartment on first floor. There are so many things that fascinate me about the flower. I learnt more when I started reading about the flower. Tulips exist in more than 3000 varieties. Most of the varieties are perfectly symmetrical. They exist in all colors except blue and are edible. The plant flowers just once and you can see the beauty only for a period of 15-20 days. These flowers mark the beginning of spring. We moved into a new home last year and we planted tulip bulbs. We got them in fall season when their prices were reduced. While planting these bulbs we came to know that if we decide to leave the place, we can carry the tulip bulbs with us and they can be planted at our next residence. I wish I had known this earlier; I could have planted them in the apartment we lived earlier.
